Forbidden Planet Dublin

Forbidden Planet Dublin are back with our yearly Small Press Day event! This year our pals at The Clockwork Door will be hosting 13 brilliant local talents. The event is free to enter and in the heart of Dublin City.

There will be a variety of original works available to purchase like zines, artwork and comics! This free event, in the heart of Dublin city, will be open from 12pm to 5pm. So be sure to tell your pals, come on down and support the arts! More info here.

Zine Freak 

Possibly the smallest small press event you can reasonably imagine!

Zine Freak is a small shop in Lancaster’s Assembly Rooms Emporium, that trades exclusively in small press comics and zines!

There will be TWO (2) indie creators in attendance, Zine Freak proprietor Matt Simmons (Future Egg/Mukbang) and the incredible Harry Deane Willmott (Subscribe/2000 ADHD) signing comics, answering questions and generally horsing around for your amusement!

Gosh! Comics

Small Press Day is back! And this time we’re calling it a Festival – with over 40 guests featuring the country’s most wonderful and talented artists. Throughout the day, we’ll have several signings back-to-back where you can meet the artists, check out their work and treat yourself to some lovely goodies! They’ll be comics, zines, prints, badges, stickers! Plenty of amazing items on show! It’s a great opportunity to find some exciting new comics and support your local artists too.

Throughout the day, our guests will even be working on a comic together, right in front of your very eyes! The DIY comics scene and small press community are things we truly cherish at Gosh! and so we’re proud to be able to present this truly staggering line-up of creators this year. This is the perfect chance for you to discover your new favourite comics artists!

Kicking off the fun from 11am-12pm we have Mereida Fajardo, Ed Firth, Rebecca K Jones, Peter Morey, Joe Stone and Rachel Tubb.

Joining us from 12-1pm will be Takayo Akiyama, Jim Hemmingfield, Shane Melisse, Mollie Ray, Philippa Rice and Joshua Spiller.

At 1-2pm we’ll have the Underground Kingdom Comics collective tabling up together including Lily Blakely, Adam Falp, Mat Greaves, Samuel Hickson, Ethan Llewellyn, Kai Reynolds and Vincent Bell Robertson.

With us from 2-3pm will be Yetunde Ekuntuyi, Will Humberstone, Clio Isadora, Beck Kubrick, Bex Ollerton and Knifeson Yu.

Then from 3-4pm we have Nathan Cowdry, Peony Gent, Ferry Gouw, Emilia McKenzie, Esther McManus and Molly Stocks.

Between 4-5pm we’ll have Gareth Brookes, Amy Browne, Lando, Will Powers, Ed Stockham and Timothy Winchester.

To see us through to the end at 5-6pm we have Sean Azzopardi, Gareth Hopkins, Roman Muradov, Douglas Noble, Mark Stafford and Patrick Wray.
