Forbidden Planet International Glasgow
Forbidden Planet Glasgow are hosting a signing for Small Press Day 2022!
There will be a table with some of the creators we feature in our local press section including: Ny Ali, Gavin Gardiner, Etienne Kubwabo, Conner McGowan, Connor Tierney, and Letty Wilson. It will take place between 10am and 4pm and the creators will have work to sell on the day! More info here

Coin-Operated Press @ The Salisbury Centre
Coin-Operated Press is hosting a 2 hour zine-making workshop at The Salisbury Centre, Edinburgh.
In this workshop, you will be creating an 8-page mini-zine folded from one sheet of paper to take home at the end! We will provide all of the materials you will need to create your zine pages, but please feel free to bring some of your own collage materials from home – this may include: magazine pages, coloured paper, stickers, ribbons, washi tape, etc. All experience levels are welcome.
Entry is on a sliding scale payment (cash or card) on the day, as follows:
– Unemployed/low-income: £3
– Employed: £6
– Comfortable and keen: £12
Donations will help cover supplies and also help us to continue our work with zine-outreach and publishing the work of those who might not otherwise be published.
We also welcome you to donate any of your unwanted art and craft supplies to us for use in our workshops, as well as any old magazines or paper collage materials you want to save from the recycling bin!

Small Press Day is back! Returning to the shop will be our in store comics fair featuring some of the best names in small press alongside some amazing up and coming talent.
Featuring – Leeann Hamilton, Paul Carroll, Clare Foley, Hugh Madden, and Barry O’Sullivan.

In celebration of Small Press Day, join Artists and Zine-Makers Mel Sproates and Mama Lips for a fun and creative drop in Zine-Making Workshop!
We will look at and discuss some examples of zines, take part in some creative responding exercises, and you will leave the workshop with your very own Mini Zine!
This workshop will be a really relaxed time to hangout, chat and get creative, a great opportunity to learn a new skill or connect with other zinesters. A small press convention featuring local comic artists taking place in a restaurant. In partnership with First Age Comics, a comic shop across the street who will be featuring the small press comics in their store.

Forbidden Planet International Leicester
We have been waiting for ages to celebrate the return of Small Press Day in person, and will be doing so with a mini comics fair happening in store between 12-5pm on 13th August with some of the absolute best talent in the UK selling and signing their books and art.

Gosh! Comics
Come join us all from 12-4pm, to celebrate the lovely small press world of comics through four hourly signings with a total of 16 fabulous creatives.
Kicking things off at 12-1pm will be the amazing Kayla Lui, Beatrice Mossman, Lily Blakely and J Webster Sharp. From 1-2pm will be the incredible Lando, Gareth Brookes, Shane Melise, Olivia Sullivan and Claude TC. Following that at 2-3pm are the lovely Mike Kennedy, Molly Stocks, Patrick Wray and Simon Moreton. And to round things off for the day at 3-4pm will be Sean Azzopardi, Douglas Noble, Fraser Geesin and Mark Stafford.
The day will run in a similar fashion to a mini festival. All of our fabulous guests will be selling their comics and signing in-store. Throughout the course of SPD, they will also be collaborating on a jam zine, which will then be printed and available for free towards the end of the day.
We’re so excited to be taking part in this special event which makes its triumphant return to the physical world. And with our absolutely cracking line-up of creators, we’re certain you’re excited too! So make sure to pop down to the shop on Saturday 13th August from 12-4pm.
