Travelling Man, Manchester
Travelling man in association with Nexus Art Cafe and Cass Art are taking part in a celebration of all things self published! Small press has always been a big part of the Travelling Man ethos, and as such we’re encouraging those who are curious to come down and find out the steps to making your ideas for your own indie work come to fruition!
Take a walk round creative spaces in the Northern quarter!
Start with a Zine Workshop in Travelling man: the bare bones approach to self publishing starts with a simply folded piece of paper and some inked implements. Try your hand at the more rustic approach to small press and take it home with you or hang it for all to see in our window display!
Then Head to Nexus to grab a coffee and visit the Comics village: we’ll have creators of all different genres and approaches selling their wares in Nexus. These seasoned veterans – and new names to look out for – will be able to answer questions you may have about their experiences getting started in the medium.
Finally head to Cass Art to browse the wares and take home the means to make your own: Similar to Nexus the creators in Cass Art will be selling their work and answering questions. Feel free to ask them any further questions you may have and if you feel so inspired, you can pick up the tools you need to get started on your next creation!
